Creative / Art Director who dabbles in copy 


An accomplished Art Director and designer, Marcus honed his skills and craft at some of the country’s best advertising agencies, where he has touched a myriad of diverse accounts. His career, that spans 10 years, started at FCB where he worked on accounts such as Vodacom, Toyota, Lexus, SC Johnson, SABC 1 and Tiger Brands. From there he went on to work on FNB Mcdonald’s, MTN Africa, Honda and Unilever at DDB South Africa. The next agency was TBWA\Hunt\Lascris where he worked on Standardbank, Nissan Steers and some more Tiger Brands. In 2013 he joined  Ogilvy Johannesburg where he was Creative lead on the massive 2014 ANC election campaign. He also did some work on Cell C, Hollard Insurance and DSTV while there. Thereafter Marcus was at M&C Saatchi Abel where he worked as a Creative Director on brands such as Nando's, Windhoek, Tafel, AVI (Willards, Bakers), Nedbank and Sars. In 2021 he joined Grey Africa where he was Creative Director on Distell brands ( Hunter's and Viceroy) and Burger King. He is currently Executive Creative Director at VML Y&R Joburg where he is looking after Momentum, Metropolitan and Tastic. 

In his career Marcus has been awarded 1st and 3rd place at Ad of the Year, won a multitude of Loeries awards ranging from gold, silver and bronze. He has been awarded the Pendoring Prestige Award along with 7 golds and two silvers in the same night. He also has a bronze Young Guns, Cannes, London International Festival and clio finalists under his belt.
